Focus Group Workshop- Brand Development

Two local designers who attended our Focus Group on June 28th, 2011: Zone6 Handbags and RocknRoyaltySF Jewelry. We loved meeting them and giving them advice on their line! They gained valuable insight on how to develop their brand and make it appeal to their target market.

The workshop was led by FashionMarketSF Founder, Leslie Lum, and Sales Consultant, Karri Ann Frerichs, owner of the Altitude Showroom.

Brand Development Focus Group

Fashion Market SF will be holding another small group brand development workshop limited to just 5 fashion brands per session this summer on Tuesday, July 26th and Monday, August 15th.

Registration fee is $60. You will be able to present your brand in a small “focus group” type setting to other fellow fashion brands. The workshop is led by an award winning marketing professional, Leslie Lum. Gain valuable industry feedback regarding how to further promote your line to your target audience.

By presenting your line and offering feedback to fellow group members, you’ll obtain insightful new strategies on how to grow your brand and ensure you are offering a competitive, marketable fashion collection. This is an open format workshop, focusing on your specific needs to grow your brand.

Example of topics covered:

  • Develop an introductory marketing plan for your business.
  • Identify next steps to grow your business.
  • Identify sample press and stores to approach for your line.
  • Brainstorm innovative marketing ideas.

Who should participate in this type of workshop?

  • Brands who have recently launched their line.
  • Brands who sell directly to the consumer who are looking to start selling to stores or to increase their wholesale business.
  • Brands who have produced 1-3 collections and are looking for innovative marketing and growth strategies.
  • Brands who are looking to expand or change their target audience.
  • Brands who know they have a good product but are having difficulties finding the right market.

Display your samples in a professional showroom setting and receive direct evaluation on your website, sample collection and print collateral. Learn how your fellow designers are marketing their line and leave with a new confidence and targeted tools to grow your business.

See photos and read testimonials from Fashion Market SF workshop participants.

Workshop investment is $60 per brand and each session is limited to just 5 brands to ensure maximum attention given to each line.

City College of San Francisco: Student Produced Fashion Show at Ruby Skye

This weekend we were busy supporting our local fashion students and CCSF by going to their fashion show at Ruby Skye. It was their 10th anniversary of the event. The designers are all students at the City College. We enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful collections as well as being very entertained with the interim performances. It is very important to us that we attend fashion events like these to network and see what our industry is up to. To see this and more, go to our YouTube Channel.

Founder, Leslie Lum and Altitude Showroom owner, Karri Ann Frerichs talk about the fashion show at Ruby Skye!
